Roles & Responsibilities
  • Research, design, prototype, and implement product features in Unity’s native tools and custom C#.
  • Prototype and develop next generation AR/VR/Web products in Unity
  • Work closely with the experience and product team to iterate on product features
  • Improve existing product features based on design requests
  • Offer technical solutions, innovate and improve the quality of implementation, performance and usability of the editor, tools and tool chain as a whole
  • Ensure product scalability, quality, maintainability, and performance
  • Maintain knowledge of current XR trends
  • Write, modify and adapt Unity game engine code using toolkits such as MRTK, Oculus XR and Unity XR Interaction KIT.
  • Build with the latest mixed reality hardware
  • Write well designed, efficient, and well-tested code
  • Work with other engineers in planning, code reviews, and ongoing improvements
  • Work comfortably within an agile and distributed team environment
  • Produce flexible, lightweight, technical designs from high level requirements.
  • Write technical design documents, for milestones and internal use.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in game development
  • Hands-on experience with Unity3D engine (editor and scripting)
  • Familiarity with algorithms such as point cloud/LiDAR rendering, inverse kinematics, WebRTC - voice/video coms
  • Strong OO skills
  • Good knowledge of an object-oriented programming language, preferably C#
  • Proficiency and capability with Unity 3D development environments, minimum of 3 years
  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Availability to work with new APIs and concepts
  • Able to work on projects that might involve a lot of changes
  • Able and interested to work in highly iterative processes and R&D.
  • Used to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical parties
  • Able to provide guidance and mentorship to the programming team
Bonus
  • Android/iOS experience is a plus
  • Augmented or Virtual Reality development experience
  • Prior experience with a well-known mobile title or AAA titles are a significant asset
  • Strong understanding of Quality Assurance methods and processes
  • Understanding of shaders, computer vision algorithms and spatial mapping
  • Strong generalist/maker spirit who experiments with various emerging technologies

Programming test will be administered for both C# to ensure knowledge matches with resume

Previous VR/AR/MxR delivered work and or prototypes in Unity. Preference given to video portfolios (or demonstrable demos)
